The 12 Trials of My Patience began as an idea by Executive Producer Chris Walker as a look into karma and what would happen if someone had control over it.
Through development by Chris Walker, John Lamb, and Matthew Newton, the script took on a whole new, interesting shape. Incorporating the story of the twelve trials of Hercules, the film became an off-beat buddy comedy with an array of quirky characters that the duo run into throughout the course of a day.
Starring Maronzio Vance (Herc), an up and coming comedian who has toured with Paul Mooney and can be seen in Jamie Foxx's Laffapalooza, and Gavin Holden (Thurman), a local star in his own right, 12 Trials aspires to become a movie that brings in some of the top talents in the Triad to make the best film possible.
The casting calls went really well. With casting nearly complete we are looking forward to beginning production with Maronzio. We were surprised by the level of talent that came out. Even more surprising was the areas the actors came from: Charlotte, Raleigh, and Virginia.
